Burglary Spree Suspects At Large

Investigators from the 101 Precinct are searching for two suspects wanted for allegedly burglarizing seven homes in Far Rockaway since July 7, according to police.

The suspects are described as either white or Hispanic males, one wearing light colored shorts and a light colored top and the other wearing multi-colored pants and a hooded sweatshirt.

At The August 1010 Precinct Community Council meeting on August 18, the precinct’s commanding officer, Captain Michael Lipetri, spoke about the break-ins.

“We have an active burglary pattern going on right now on Mott Avenuecommercial burglaries happening mainly on midnights and going in through the rear or roof, pretty much through the rear. The investigation is continuing as we have some leads. We have about eight hits since July. We tie it together, it is a pattern and we’re addressing it,” he said.
