The Mosque

Dear Editor,

I do believe that everyone in the U.S.A. has the right to worship their religion under our constitution rights. However, putting a mosque two blocks from ground zero is a moral issue, not a religious one.

Three thousand victims were murdered that day and some of their ashes and D.N.A. are still there.

Muslims can and should be allowed to build a mosque anywhere in the USA, but not at that site. There are many abandoned buildings in all five boroughs, even Nebraska; Go There. That’s not a burial ground.

Mayor Bloomberg standing in front of the Statue of Liberty. What a joke!

The first responder died and some are still dying because the government lied about the safety of the site (Ground Zero).

How come St. Nicholas Church, which went down on 9/11, is not rebuilt after nine years; of the priest going to Port Authority, ex-governor Elliot Spitzer, Governor Paterson and whoever and whatever bureaucracy is stopping St. Nicholas from being rebuilt. The priest was on television and neither they, nor I, can understand it.

What is happening to our city, state and country when the towers and St. Nicholas Church, which is still not being rebuilt, and along comes “the Mosque” and everything is in place for it. “God Help Our Country.”

R. FREEST
