Parks Encourages Locals To Water Trees

Former Parkie Neil Dunker, Parks Supervisor Jack Rohan, Parks Forester Joe Kocal, Parks Deputy Chief of Operations Phil Sparacio, Rockaway Administrator Jill Weber, Beachside Bungalow Preservation Association President Stefanie Samoy, Rockaway Waterfront Alliance’s Jeanne Dupont, Richard George, Sondra Johnson, Councilman Sander’s Chief of Staff Donovan Richards, Queens Commissioner Lewandowski, Yaloob Family, Roseanne Marshall, Ritchie Lifkowitz, Mary Hanson, Raymond Renault, Rockaway Park Manager Roy Tellason and Parks First Deputy Commissioner Liam Kavanagh watered street trees in Rockaway on Saturday. Former Parkie Neil Dunker, Parks Supervisor Jack Rohan, Parks Forester Joe Kocal, Parks Deputy Chief of Operations Phil Sparacio, Rockaway Administrator Jill Weber, Beachside Bungalow Preservation Association President Stefanie Samoy, Rockaway Waterfront Alliance’s Jeanne Dupont, Richard George, Sondra Johnson, Councilman Sander’s Chief of Staff Donovan Richards, Queens Commissioner Lewandowski, Yaloob Family, Roseanne Marshall, Ritchie Lifkowitz, Mary Hanson, Raymond Renault, Rockaway Park Manager Roy Tellason and Parks First Deputy Commissioner Liam Kavanagh watered street trees in Rockaway on Saturday. On Saturday, Queens Parks Commissioner Dorothy Lewandowski and Parks Foresters joined the Beachside Bungalow Preservation Association to water street trees and encourage New Yorkers to do so during this current heat wave and throughout the summer. Rockaway community members watered new trees planted along Beach 25 Street and Seagirt Avenue through the Million Trees NYC, a mayoral initiative to plant one million new trees by 2017.
