Cab And Access-A Ride Collide

A Brooklyn car service and Access-ARide bus collided with one another last Saturday at 5:50 p.m. on Beach Channel Drive near the Marine Parkway Bridge, leaving the car service driver injured and pinned inside his car, according to police.

Police say the 2002 Mercury sedan car service vehicle was bearing left onto Beach Channel Drive when he collided with the westbound Access-ARide van. No passengers were reported in either the car service or Access- A-Ride vehicle.

The car service driver, Brooklyn resident Kurtish Elezi, 38, was pinned in the car and had to await medical attention.

He was treated at Peninsula Hospital Center with minor injuries, according to police.
