Ribbon to Be Cut On Arverne Library

By Miriam Rosenberg

The Queens Library has announced August 5 as the date for the official ribbon cutting at the just renovated Arverne Library. The library, which reopened to the public last month, will use the ribbon cutting ceremony as a means to celebrate the $2.8 million revitalization of the facility.

The library features sections for children, teens and adults (each with computer terminals), and technical and structural upgrades and is now considered state-of the-art. The celebration starts at 1 p.m. and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
