Age Limits In Congress

Dear Editor,

I recently learned that Senator Robert Byrd of West Virginia passed away. Everyone said how sad it was.

But I think the real sadness was watching clips of him on television. Staggering around the Senate floor, it was pitiful to watch. It appeared to me that he was suffering with Parkinson’s disease.

I mean, come on, how old was he? A lot of these old fools just don’t know when to pack it in.

Besides having term limits, I think we should also have age limits. Seventy seems about right to me and after that, out you go.

Give the younger generation a chance.
