Shame, Shame

Dear Editor,

You should be ashamed of yourselves. Not only are your statements cold and cruel but many of them are also false.

It is a disgrace to have our own hometown newspaper bash one of our own residents. I am disgusted to read such lies!

You would have been lucky to have even met Deidre never mind known her; and if you were lucky enough to have known her you would not have printed such filth. Deidre O’Donnell was a beautiful girl; a Daughter, Sister, Aunt and friend to many. Every where she went her smile alone brightened up the room. It is a shame that you are that desperate to sell a newspaper that you sink as low as putting your own twist on a devastating Letters event such as this.

The Wave is no longer even respected as a newspaper it has become a gossip column in its entirety. You truly have some nerve calling yourself journalists or giving yourself any title in that case. I believe it’s called a newspaper for a reason, it is intended to give us the news and yet you can’t even accomplish that.

We now have to become our own researchers after reading each article because unfortunately those at The Wave don’t feel it is necessary to let the people know the truth. It is repulsive that when having guests you have to hide the paper that should highlight how great both our community and those in it truly are.

Forever in our hearts, R.I.P Deidre O’Donnell. One friend of many. RITA AND CHRISTOPHER REGAN
