Many parents were in attendance too. The St. Francis de Sales second grade children dressed in their communion outfits and honored Mary the mother of Jesus by crowning her with a crown of flowers in church. The entire school attended and sang songs as Mary was honored. Two second grade children carried the crown to the altar as an 8th grade girl assisted in the crowning.
