Plans for a seaside miniature golf course may have died in Rockaway Beach, but just over the Marine Parkway Bridge, Brooklyn Golf Center is getting ready to unveil its brand new 18-hole miniature golf course this weekend during its grand opening.

Brooklyn Golf Center, located across the street from Aviator Sports Complex on Flatbush Avenue and inside Gateway National Recreation Area, is known to most as just a driving range. However, years ago it was known as Gateway Sports, which in addition to the driving range, hosted miniature golf, tennis, and batting cages.

Officials from Brooklyn Golf Center are excited about bringing a former amenity back to the site. “We have been fighting for a very long time to get our rights back for mini golf since this is federal property, and now that we recently got permission over the last six months, we want to bring back the fun,” a representative for the Brooklyn Golf Center said this week.

Work on the course was finished this week in time for the grand opening. Work on the course was finished this week in time for the grand opening. The grand opening will take place on Saturday, June 26 at 11:00 a.m. The normal operating hours will be seven days a week from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
The course also features a large pool and fountain that run through most of the 18-hole course. The course also features a large pool and fountain that run through most of the 18-hole course.
