Assemblywoman Pheffer Honors David Rosenzweig Assemblywoman Pheffer Honors David Rosenzweig Assemblywoman Audrey I. Pheffer honored David Rosenzweig upon the occasion of his retirement after 41 years with the New York City Fire Department.

After serving his country in Vietnam, Rosenzweig returned home and joined the FDNY as a Fire Alarm Dispatcher in 1969.

Pheffer said that he displayed his excellent work ethic and leadership skills, and was promoted to Super-vising Dispatcher and then to Chief Dispatcher.

Rosenzweig also served for many years as the President of the Uniformed Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association.

He has been active in the Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association, the Municipal Labor Committee, the 911 Taskforce, the Civil Service Merit Council and the Public Employees Conference.
