National Grid Offers Energy Star Product Rebates

National Grid is helping its New York State customers reduce their environmental impact and their energy bills by providing rebates for qualifying ENERGY STAR® replacement windows and programmable thermostats.

Customers are eligible for $10 for each self-installed or contractor installed window with a U-factor of 0.35 or less, in their existing homes, with a maximum of $500 in window rebates per account.

Customers who purchase and install a 7-day programmable ENERGY STAR® thermostat are eligible to receive up to two $25 rebates (not to exceed the purchase price).

“National Grid is committed to providing its customers efficiency programs that can reduce energy usage and help lower bills,” said Lisa Tallet, Residential Energy Efficiency Manager for National Grid in New York. “These programs are one way the company is working with customers to support the state’s overall commitment to a sustainable and efficiency energy future.”

For information, contact your local qualified contractor or National Grid in upstate New York at 877-883-1761, or New York City and Long Island at 800-292-2032. Windows installed in new construction or home additions will not qualify for the window incentive.
