Look At That Snake In Rockaway Park

A python was spotted in the sewer last Sunday on Beach 120 Street in Rockaway Park. According to witnesses, it seems that some guys went to retrieve a wiffle ball that fell into the sewer when they spotted the snake. Approximately eight inches in diameter, the creature was declared dead by police, who advised the ‘discoverers’ to leave it alone. One neighbor, however, called the New York City Department of Environmental Protection who removed the snake measuring nearly 10 feet long. Photo by Robin Davidman.
