Parks Commissioner Adrian Benepe welcomes the crowd. New York City Department of Parks and Recreation Commissioner Adrian Benepe along with Rockaway’s elected officials kicked off the start to the summer beach season this week. Students from P.S. 183 were invited to attend the ceremony on the boardwalk at Beach 81 Street this Tuesday.
Councilmember Eric Ulrich was also in attendance.
