SJEH Celebrates Nurses Week

The nurses at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital were honored and celebrated dur- ing National Nurses Week, which began Thursday, May 6, and ended on Wednesday, May 12, on the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. With the theme of “Caring Today for a Healthier Tomorrow,” the Nursing Department at St. John’s developed an educational presentation on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of high blood pressure. The week began with a blessing of the hands given by the Hospital’s Pastoral Care Department. Blood pressure screenings were made available during the week as well.
