Bums Instead Of Politicians

Dear Editor,

I am mad as hell in that two questionable politicians are walking around as free as birds when they should be in orange jump suits dwelling in Leavenworth Federal Prison.

Rep. Gregory Meeks (D.NY) and State Senator Malcolm Smith founded a fund NEW DIRECTION to help victims of Katrina. They collected $30,000 in contributions for relief but only $1,392 was expended for that purpose. Queens and Rockaway Representative Gregory Meeks claimed every dime raised for the charity would go to 30 impoverished families who lost homes and their worldly belongings. Those victims never got a dime. Further, Governor David Paterson awarded a gambling franchise to Aqueduct Entertainment Group (AIG) whereby Representative Meeks and State Senator Smith are part of the group. I am mad as hell – why shouldn’t the citizens benefit, not questionable politicians? The system is crooked and people must rise up and dump these bums.

Where the hell is the stupid voters of Rockaway Beach who re-elected these bums to positions of trust. I am mad as hell. Why aren’t these bums’ residents of Leavenworth?
