NYU Dental Van In Rockaway Beach

PS/MS 183Q students have been provided with a fellowship service from NYU Smiling Faces, Going Places Dental Van by Assemblywoman Michele Titus. This has become an annual service for the students in this community and is appreciated by the children in Pre-K to the eighth grade who attend the school.

PS/MS 183Q Principal Renee Peart, Parent Coordinator Jackie Stillwell and the school’s volunteers are actively involved in the process of collecting applications and escorting children to and from the van. The dental team, including Dr. Connie Turner, Administrative Director; Dr. Crawford and Dr. Truesdale, who supervise a team of interns, and escort driver, Mr. Don, are also to be applauded for their care and instruction to the children. Many students have never been to a dentist and now they get to experience a pleasant visit.
