World Champions Win Medals At District Championships
The World Champions Karate Center, founded in 1971 under the auspices of Sensei Bruce Hodes, a seventh Dan Shotokan Karate, has completed its 20th anniversary of participating in AAU tournament competition.
This year’s exciting competition was the 20th Annual AAU Karate District Championship that was held in the main gymnasium of Kingsborough Community College on Sunday, April 18.
The competitors, who participated from dojos in the five boroughs, Long Island, upstate New York and Pennsylvania, won many first, second and third place medals in the Kata, Kumite and Kobudo.
The competition team from the World Champions Karate Center is now gearing up to take part in the AAU Karate Regional and National Tournament.
