Students Make Houses For Haiti

To raise funds to help the victims of the catastrophic earthquake in Haiti, on January 12, 2010, students of PS/MS 105 participated in the project “Houses for Haiti”. Under the direction of art teacher Norma Allende, students created beautiful magnets that were given in exchange of a donation of one dollar each. Students were eager to use the power of art to make a difference in the lives of others and the activity was a total success. Assistant Principal, Laura Alicea, organizer of the fundraiser, wants to extend her appreciation to students and parents for their hard work and support.
