Frank Gallagher Deserves Apology

Dear Editor,

I think that you owe Frank Gallagher and his family an apology. A featured article for the decades of service to our community would be appropriate.

As far as the board of health inspectors, that is a different story. This was the worst year ever of their harassment. A different inspector shows up every time unannounced and not in uniform. Each one of them has a “bag of tricks” and it is different each year. This year there was a big push which came from the Mayor’s office to produce more income for the city. So it is obvious that the inspectors had to increase their activity report. But sincerely, getting back to the original point.

Frank Gallagher should lead the Rockaway Parade, but probably Letters

wouldn’t want to. At age 70, hopefully he enjoys many years of retirement and the wonderful family he raised. His son, Michael Gallagher, is one of the gallant young men that help replace the 343 firemen that we lost on 9-11. Hopefully, we have not forgotten that too soon.

I am looking forward to seeing how your paper clarifies this injustice. I also wish the Dalton family luck and welcome them to enjoy dealing with the board of health and their inconsistencies.

Frank Gallagher has owned and operated Snug Harbour for over 35 years. I too will remember him for having the finest establishment ever, in the Rockaways! Rockaway has lost an Icon!! Good luck to the Dalton Family.
