Jennie Brienza, a longtime Rockaway resident, died April 5.

Brienza was born in Jersey City, New Jersey and moved to Rockaway from Brooklyn, New York. She was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Rockaway Point Fire Department and Ambulance, St. Thomas More Golden Age Club and Altar Rosary Society as well as many years as a Real Estate Agent in Breezy Point.

Brienza was preceded in death by her husband, Charles.

She is survived by her sons, Patrick (Marie) and Nicholas (Patricia); daughters, Virginia Tasso and Theresa Malloy (Patrick); brothers, John, Dominick and Anthony; sister, Mary Miglaccio; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements and memorial service were entrusted to Denis S. O’Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. Visitation will take place on Friday, April 9 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. A funeral mass will take place at St. Edmund Church, Breezy Point on Saturday, April 10 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
