Rockaway’s Favorite Health Club SInce 2001
Club SInce 2001 Cyberzone is located at 103-32 Rockaway Beach Boulevard, in the plaza across from Dayton Towers and Key Food. There is a spacious parking lot available free to members, so you can work out any day of the week for as long as you like without worrying that your car will be ticketed or towed. Cyberzone also offers free babysitting for members during workouts. And the hours at the club will accommodate any schedule—opening time is 5 a.m. weekdays and 6 a.m. weekends, and closing is at 11 p.m. weekdays, 10 p.m. Friday, and 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
It’s a place with a full range of exercise equipment, from stationary bikes to rowing machines, and a wide choice of exercise classes, from low-impact aerobics to body sculpting. It’s also a co-ed gym where neighbors like to meet for a yoga class, or chat while jogging on a treadmill. It’s been a favorite workout zone in the western end of the peninsula for the past decade—Cyberzone Health Club.
Cyberzone’s proprietor, Vikki Apice, has worked hard since establishing the club in 2001, to acquire the right equipment and staff to assist members in achieving optimum physical conditioning. Instructors are local fitness legends in yoga, aerobics, and Pilates. To view the full class schedule offered at the club, including the newest and hottest offering, Zumba classes, visit www.cyberzonegym.net. Also, starting May 3, Cyberzone will offer afternoon classes specially designed for members aged 55 and up. Each class will combine low impact aerobics, sculpting and Pilates, and chair yoga will be offered, as well.
Relax and enjoy your workout at the club—there is a sunlit main exercise area with cardiovascular equipment like treadmills, StairMasters and Lifecycles.
The resistance training circuit and free weight area is another option to enhance your workout. Top-notch personal trainers are also available (for an extra charge) if you want to learn the correct form for use of free weights, proper stretching technique, or how to work out your core muscles without injury, using devices such as exercise balls and straps. Stop by and meet manager John Santiago, who will be happy to walk you around for a tour of the club and give you a certificate for a “free first visit.” Or call 718-318-9600 for more information.
