Woman Nabbed For Redfern Robbery

Brooklyn resident Teresa Gadson, 40, was arrested in Far Rockaway at about 1 p.m. on March 23 in connection with an armed robbery inside the Redfern houses. Police say that Bartolo Villata walked into the basement of 11-58 Redfern Avenue when he felt a sharp object touching his neck. He told police that the woman holding the sharp object, which later turned out to be a pair of metal scissors, threatened him and pulled his wallet from his rear pocket, taking $200 in cash before throwing the wallet to the ground. The woman ran, but Villata got a good look at her and gave her description to police, who found Gadson nearby short ly after the crime. Cops say they found a pair of handcuffs, the scissors and a loaded crack pipe in her pocketbook. She was arraigned on March 25 on charges of robbery and criminal possession of a controlled substance. Pictured, Gadson is walked into the 101 Precinct in Far Rockaway right after her arrest.
