Local Freshman Leads Swarthmore Lacrosse
The Swarthmore women’s lacrosse team (3-0) stretched its winning streak to three on Thursday night with a decisive 17-5 victory over the Moravian Greyhounds (2-3). Sophomore Annelise Mowry (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) led the Garnet attack with four goals and two assists.

Swarthmore kept the Greyhound net-minder on her feet firing 38 shots her way and only allowed Moravian 23 shots in the game. The Garnet also edged the Greyhounds 12-10 in draw controls. Defense once again came through for the Garnet beating out Moravian with 22 ground balls won to the Grey-hound’s 19.
In goal senior Allison Grein only let five get past her and made 11 saves in 51 minutes of play. Moravian’s Angel Genther would net two goals and collect four ground balls in the game.
