Pheffer Urges Residents To Take City Exams

Audrey I. Pheffer has announced open competitive exams available for job positions with the City of New York. The Department of Citywide Administration Services (DCAS) currently has several open competitive exams for several positions with the City.

There are four positions available that are computerized testing, with walk in testing available daily. These jobs include; Correction Officer, Environmental Police Officer, Police Officer and Traffic Enforcement Agent.

You must apply in person for these exams at the Computerized Testing Center located at 2 Lafayette Street, 17th Floor, New York. The Center is open Monday through Saturday, except holidays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In addition there are also openings for the following positions; Correction Officer – Filing Period open until May 15, 2010 · Elevator Mechanic’s Helper – Filing Period open until March 23, 2010 ·Fraud Investigator – Filing Period open until March 23, 2010 · School Safety Agent – Filing Period

open until April 20, 2010

In person: Visit the Applications Center at 2 Lafayette Street, Manhattan.

By mail: Mail a request along with a self-addressed stamped envelope to DCAS Application Unit, 1 Centre Street, 14th floor, New York, NY 10007. Requests must be received at least seven days before the filing closes.

Submit your properly completed application forms along with any payment (by money order only) to DCAS Application Unit, 1 Centre Street, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10007 and postmarked no later than the last date of the application filing period.
