Wave Edited My Turn

Dear Editor,

Nice job, Howie! You chose to omit the last, and most important sentence of my article, which you know full well was “The Rockaway Ferry should be saved.”

Don’t even think about trying to tell me that there wasn’t enough space: you did not need to add three lines at the beginning identifying me as a regular rider and Breezy resident. Who I am was self-evident in my article. What you did was redundant, and you only did it because you wanted to omit my opinion that the ferry should be saved, with which you evidently disagree. The name of the column is “It’s My Turn,” but I guess that actually means “My Turn, but only as long as the editor of the Wave agrees with me.”

I also note that you chose NOT to print a number of letters to the editor supporting saving the ferry, that I know for a fact were sent to you both this week and last week.

What’s wrong with you? You constantly sabotage your community for purposes that are incomprehensible to the rest of us who live here! For shame, Howie, for shame.
