Michael Jackson Tribute
Joby Rogers in the Ultimate Michael Experience will come to Westbury on Saturday, April 17 at 8:00 p.m. Rogers is the only tribute artist approved of by Michael Jackson in a signed statement. He was selected after Michael Jackson viewed over a hundred different impersonators and is the only impersonator to hold such an honor from the King of Pop.
On a dare from friends, Rogers began impersonating Michael Jackson in 1984. He described the death of his idol last summer “like losing a sibling,” and said that his shows have become more meaningful. For him and for his fans, it is the only way to keep the music and moves of Michael Jackson alive.
Rogers, who has been on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, and whom Michael Jackson himself certified as the best impersonator in the world, says the performance at Westbury will be more than “just a tribute.”
“This is a full-out concert,” he said. “Staging, lighting, plus the dancers, This is it. This will be the show.”
