Who Says The Dunes Don't Stop Beach Street Flooding?
Belle Harbor resident Dino Trivlis was wandering around with his camera after last weekend’s storm and realized that on the streets that have no dunes, the ocean water came up onto the beach block, leaving behind lots of sand and debris. Pictured, Beach 136 Street. On Beach 140 Street, which has protective dunes, there was no water or debris on the street.
