PHC Demos Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy
The Peninsula Hospital Center Auxiliary members received an explanation of OMT, as well as a “hands on” demonstration of Osteopathic Manipulation Therapy (OMT) at their March meeting at the Hospital Center. Peter A. Guiney, D.O., Director, Medical Education and Director, Family Practice Residency Program a PHC, spoke to the group about the dimensions OMT can bring to standard medical care. Osteopathic physicians, when appropriate, use OMT to ease pain and help patients with asthma, sinus disorder, carpal tunnel syndrome and migraines. The PHC Auxiliary meets in the Meditation Room at Peninsula Center for Extended Care and Rehabilitation on the first Tuesday of every month. Visitors and new members are always welcome..
