Arthur Robinson

Sanitation Worker

Arthur Robinson, 64, a longtime Rockaway resident, died December 31.

Robinson was born on August 5, 1945 in St. Matthews, South Carolina and worked in sanitation.

Robinson was preceded in death by his brothers, Woodrow Jr. and Clarence.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn P. Robinson, of St. Matthews, South Carolina; daughters, Ursula S. Robinson, of Inwood, New York and Lorraine Howell; son, William Howell of St. Matthews, South Carolina; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; brothers, Bobbie L. Robinson, of East Orange, New Jersey and Wesley Robinson, of St. Matthews South Carolina; sisters, Janie Mae Hopkins, of Winston Salem, North Carolina, Deborah P. (Thomas) Wannamaker, of St. Matthews South Carolina and Donna M. Cunningham, of Winston Salem, North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Verna Lee Robinson and Catherine Robinson of St Matthews, South Carolina; brother in-law, Sam Harris Jr. of Rock Hill South Carolina; cousins, Ruth Slade (Dewey), friends, Michael Johnson and Buddy; spiritual daughter, Pastor Tammy Jeffery; uncle, Jimmie L. Robinson and aunt, Ruth Robinson both of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral arrangements and memorial service were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. Interment took place at Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery, St. Matthews, South Carolina.
