Rockaway Artists To Be Represented At Show
Two Rockaway artists, Arlene Cornell and Stephen Yaeger, will be exhibiting in an exciting group show, “Visions in Watercolor,” presented by the Brooklyn Watercolor Society. Twenty-eight members of the BWS will be showing their recent paintings in transparent watercolor. The exhibition runs from March 11 through March 31 at St. Francis College, 182 Remsen Street, in Brooklyn. The gallery will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The BWS was founded in 1973 by a group of professional artists and art teachers all of whom wanted to share their talents and enthusiasm for the medium of transparent watercolor.
Previous BWS shows have been presented in Kingsborough Community College, The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens and the National Art Club.
Yaeger, whose artistic talents include many mediums as well as water-color,
Cornell, whose watercolors are well known to art enthusiasts, will be hosting the show on Friday, March 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 2 p.m.
More than forty-five paintings will be exhibited.
“This will be a show not to be missed,” said Yaeger.
