Marva E. Wallace
Marva E. Wallace, 63, a longtime Rockaway resident, died February 17.
Wallace was born on February 3, 1947 in Barbados, West Indies and later moved to Rockaway. He was a social worker and was a member of the First Presbyterian Russell Sage Memorial Church, where she served faithfully as the moderator of the board of deacon.
She is survived by her husband, Rolando; children, Louis, Rodney and Cherette; grandchildren, Kaneii and Kaliah; daughter-in-law, Vania; sister, Carmen Drakes; nephew, Randolph Jr.; niece, Christina; grandnephew, Brandon; cousins, Norma, Rosie, Heather, David and Dorita Treadwell; and a host of other relatives, brothers and sisters-in-law, friends, neighbors and church family.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. A funeral mass was held at First Presbyterian Russell Sage Memorial Church, Far Rockaway. Interment took place at Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery, Farmingdale, New York.
