Rotary Donates To Ronald McDonald House

President Kevin O’Mealy of the Rockaway Rotary Club presents a donation of $300 to Joanne Reda, executive director of the Ronald McDonald House, at the club’s annual February meeting at the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park. The club visited with Rotary Gift of Life recipient Alexander Frederaykin and his mother Lyuba (center) from the Ukraine. Alexander received heart surgery at Long Island Jewish Hospital and he and his mother are staying at the Ronald McDonald House. The Gift of Life program facilitates free medical services to children throughout the world suffering from congenital heart defects and other similar illnesses who would otherwise lack access to such services.
