Historical Views of the Rockaways

The Bayside, Rockaway Point, Rockaway Beach, N.Y.
From The Rockaway Museum Commentary by Emil Lucev, Curator Dedicated To The Memory Of Leon S. Locke

In 1914 this photograph of the Bayside at Rockaway Point was published on a postcard by Point pioneer Howard Reid.

Reid Avenue at the Point is named after Howard Reid, or named by him personally. I believe the latter is correct.

Of all the cards I have in my Rockaway Point collection many people are shown posing for the cameraman, but no one is ever identified by the publisher or the person posting the card.

In this picture the people are out of place. They look like they are in the Italian Alps-sunning themselves! Right! Who are they and where are they now? Help me!!!!!
