NOVAS Track and Field Team Race To Finish Line
The NOVAS Track Club is a local organization that instructs boys and girls from the ages of 7 to 17 who are interested in participating in the sport of track and field.
Jacqueline Saunders ran in the 400 meters and completed the race with a time of 1 minute and 12.82 seconds. She also ran in the 4x400m relay in the Youth Division (13-14 years old) in 4 minutes and 38.11 seconds by competing with girls from NOVAS Ja-maica team. They finished the race in fifth place.
Jacqueline’s little sister, Tanya Saunders ran the 400 meter race in 1 minute and 21.97 seconds.
He also ran in the 4x200m relay in the Midget Division (11-12 years old) with the NOVAS Jamaica team boys. They came in third place with a time of 2 minutes and 12.06 seconds.
Washington competed in the meets held on February 19 at the Track and Field Armory in Manhattan.
Washington competed in the long jump, which he jumped for a distance of 12’04’’ long and came in second place.
In the high jump, he jumped 3’ 11’’high and came in second place. Washington ended the day by finishing in first place in the 200 meter competition with a time of 33.37 seconds.
