Sic Animal Cops on Buster’s Marina

Dear Editor,

I read with interest Theresa Lanzon’s feelings on the plight of the poor dog at Buster’s Marina. As a fellow animal lover, I felt so angry about the situation, especially considering the frigid weather we have been experiencing these past few weeks. I’m not ashamed to say I include homeless animals and people in my prayers each night.

This owner must be selfish, ignorant, or just plain mean to think that this poor animal is okay with his shabby surroundings! There is something Lanzon can do that may help this poor animal. It’s not as though he can complain, can he? I had a similar incident occur near my home here in Brooklyn, New York. I called the ASPCA located in New York and reported the problem. Two caring officers came out and took the time to review my complaint and fix the problem. The story was televised and appeared on the Animal Planet Channel. These officers will try and correct this sad situation, I know they will. Lanzon should try and ask for Ann Marie Lucas who is one of the best officers they have. I used to live in Rockaway so I know they go there for complaints. Good luck and please let The Wave know the outcome of this sad event.
