Harvin Named 101 Officer Of The Month

Officer Shaquan Harvin was named Officer of the month during this month’s 101 Precinct Community Council meeting. Approximately two years ago Harvin made a gun collar, that in Deputy Inspector Brian McMahon’s words, “put an end to a very violent rape pattern.” McMahon explained, “Some of you may remember the rape pattern we had over in Ocean Bay. The DNA from that rape pattern matched his gun collar.” McMahon also said that recently Harvin arrested a suspect in another violent rape. “It just goes to show you his consistence and his work ethic. He’s probably one of the better cops that I have in the 101,” said McMahon. Pictured are (left to right) McMahon, Harvin and Justin Cauley, the president of the 101 Precinct Community Council.
