Patrice Lumumba Jackson
Patrice Lumumba Jackson, 37, a longtime Rockaway resident, died February 13.
Jackson was born on February 5, 1973 in New York City and was a resident of Rockaway Beach since age nine. He worked as a telecommunications field engineer and manager and cook of Jackson’s Soul Food Kitchen Fine Catering. He was also the founder of Community Contracting Corporation, a member of I am My Brother’s Keeper Evangelistic Ministries, Inc. and chairman of Fight Back.
Jackson was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Gertrude Miller and Thelma Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Chatelain Jackson; daughters, Ashanti and Patrice; son, Jor-El; parents, Roosevelt Jackson and Pastor Catherine Jackson; brothers, Anthony, Marcus, Malcolm; and sisters, Sonny, Angela, Rashida, Yolanda, and Somalia.
A funeral mass will be held at First Baptist Church of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York on Saturday, February 20 at 8:30 a.m. Interment will remain private.
