The Inner Voice

Commentary by Marilyn Gelfand

Change can be really exciting if we let go of our fear of the unknown. As we mature, we have different needs and wants, and some change may come from within ourselves. We obviously have to deal with changes that are thrown our way by life, but we also get feelings that we want to do things differently. It may seem strange that what has worked for years, now can be replaced with something better, but that is what is fun.

You may decide to rearrange your furniture or change the purpose of different spaces in your home.

If we go with the flow, and pay attention, what we need to know will be provided. If something doesn’t work out or materialize, it might mean it is time to change our thinking. Often when we least expect it, we can bump into the thing we needed or were searching for or cross paths with someone who might know what we need for our next life’s step.

We might find ourselves relaxing or turning on the tv, and there is the answer we needed. Staying in balance and being aware allows us to flow and not provide resistance.

Amazing coincidences happen when it is important that certain events take place in our lives. The key is to always follow our instincts even if they are contradictory to the original plan.

We often cannot see the last step in a design. We know what we have to do as our next step, and then we have to wait to see how that brought its change. Then we can add to it or make a determination of our next step. The best idea is not to be too invested in any plan.

It may need to be changed along the way, or dropped because something better has taken place.

This is when our instincts guide us into our right action.
