Cleveland Joseph Freamon


Cleveland Joseph Freamon, 83, a longtime Rockaway resident, died December 29.

Freamon was born on June 17, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was an entrepreneur.

Freamon was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Freamon; adoptive father, LoveVine Freamon; wife, Vera Freamon; son, Joseph Freamon; stepbrother, LoveVine Freamon Jr.

He is survived by his sons, Bernard Freamon of Manhattan, New York, Errick (Thalia) Freamon of Seattle, Washington, Michael Freamon of Inwood, New York and Robert (Joy)Freamon of Middletown New York; grandchildren, Diedre, Carson, Iris, Justin and Jessica, as well as many other family and friends.

Funeral arrangements and memorial service were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. Disposition took place at St. Michael’s Crematory, East Elmhurst, New York.
