Re: Diamonds and Coal

Dear Wave,

In your December “Diamonds and Coals” section you did not rate the three biggest capital projects underway in the peninsula: Contaminated soil remediation in the National Grid site; rehabilitation of the elevated stations on the A line; and the restoration of the Cross Bay Bridge. We should all be grateful to New York State for promoting capital spending in our neighborhood and the improvements these projects will bring. How strange that the Wave would ignore them. Another state agency that should be given a diamond is the MTA. Their bus drivers allow passengers unable to pay a fare to ride for free. Diamonds should also be handed out to the rest of us who pay full freight.
Sincerely,
KEITH SKILLING
