Rockaway Kid Gets Xavier HS Scholarship
Chris Esposito, who currently attends the eighth grade at Mark Twain I.S. 239, the school for the gifted and talented, recently was awarded a full scholarship to Xavier High School. He is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. His older brother, Robert, received a half scholarship two years ago and currently attends Brooklyn Technical High School. His younger brother, Owen, attends Mark Twain also, and is enrolled in Music Talent. His youngest brother and sister, Emmett and Emma, attend PS 114 where Christopher started. His grandparents are Bob and Ellen Esposito, and Leo and Josephine Beggan. His mother and father are Denise and Bob Esposito Jr.
He is also entered into the Ignatian Society in Xavier as a result of his accomplishment. He plays soccer, baseball, basketball and swimming. He was recently chosen for the CYO Olympics at Eisenhower Park in Nassau County. Esposito also plays sets with his guitar with the Rockaway band, “Breezy Grass.”
