The painting by Igor Gushchin is one of the artworks on view at sTudio 6 Gallery, Fort Tilden through February 14. The opening reception for “Spanning Connections” saw the large number of visitors enjoy the artwork, the delicious refreshments prepared by the Exhibitions Committee and the terrific music performed by John Simonelli and Kuff. Thanks to all.

“Spanning Connections” – about bridges, walls, walkways, rainbow bridges, tunnels, underpasses, overpasses and all sorts of connections physical, mechanical and emotional.

In Penelope Atheras’ three acrylic paintings we are enticingly invited across spans and through a celestial portal. Igor Gushchin creates a stylized world, in “Indian Summer,” that draws the viewer to find a way across a dream-like blue glassy lake to an island filled with trees and Mediterranean stucco.

Special musical event is scheduled for this weekend at the RAA galleries. The names of performers is unavailable at this writing. Contact RAA for information.
