Seawolves Varsity Girls Defeat Robert F. Kennedy


The Scholars Academy would like to congratulate the varsity girls’ basketball team on its victory against Robert F. Kennedy on January 7 by the final score of 49-37. Fallon Mullen turned in her second straight strong performance by scoring 21 points, which was her career high. Becky Moers added 19 points, making five 3-point baskets, and is in first place in three-point field goals made for the entire Public Schools Athletic League. Kristin Dchiutiis and Christina Rocks had strong defensive performances as well. This is the Scholars’ first year with a varsity PSAL basketball program. They have a 6-5 record in the Queens B East Division and are looking forward to an exciting second half to the season.
