Police from the 101 Precinct and the NYPD’s Crime Scene Unit search for clues outside of Wavecrest Gardens on Seagirt Boulevard after the shooting. Police sources say that more than two dozen teens were at a party in a community room at the Seagirt Boulevard building when an argument broke out between the unidentified victim and another teen.

Just before midnight on Christmas day, the teens, accompanied by a crowd of onlookers, “took the fight outside,” ending up at Seagirt Boulevard and Beach 31 Street.

Police say that the two teens began to argue and push when one pulled a gun from his waistband and fired multiple shots, hitting the victim once in the abdomen.

The still-unidentified shooter fled the scene and police say they are looking for a suspect.

The victim was transported to the trauma center at the Jamaica Hospital Center, where he remains in stable condition. Police say that his wound is not life threatening.

Anybody with information on the shooting is urged to contact the 101 Precinct Detective Squad at 718-868-3429.
