Rosemary Zapata, RN (far left) and Janet DePaolo, RN (far right) join with members of their “family” for a special holiday photo. As is the holiday custom and a part of Peninsula Hospital Center’s Ambulatory Chemotherapy program, both patients and “graduates” of the program joined with friends and family to celebrate the many gifts of life. Each attendee received a large Holiday Bag filled with all sorts of goodies and a wonderful luncheon was served. Santa Claus also stopped in for a visit in the bearded form of a very jolly John Ward, a cancer survivor, Ambulatory Chemotherapy program graduate and now a volunteer at the Hospital Center. The program’s patients become like a family during the course of their treatment and each year at this time, this family takes a few moments to enjoy the holidays.
