RAA Presents Winter Solstice
Brightening the season just days ahead of the shortest day of the year, the Rockaway Artists Alliance presents Winter Solstice: A Mid-Winter Event. Staged in the warm atmosphere of the RAA's T-7 gallery, Winter Solstice will celebrate with four bands and a DJ filling the night with music and sound this Saturday, December 19.
Featuring Carl Knoop and His Brewers, Brutal East, Soulshine and Inda - culture, the event will start around 8 p.m. and run late into the evening.
Admission as well is parking are free.
The Rockaway Artists Alliance also hosts regular Thursday Open Mike Music Nights. Open to all, with a sign up starting at 7:30 p.m., this weekly event brings forth the talents of musicians, singers, poets, comedians, prose readers and performers of all kinds. Thursday Open Mike Music Nights run all year round.
The RAA will be opening the doors on its next exhibition, Spanning Connec - tions, which will run from Saturday, January 16 to Sunday, February 14. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, January 16 from 1-3 p.m. in sTudio 6.
Gallery hours are Saturday 12-4 p.m., Sunday 12-4 p.m. and by appoint - ment.
