Apartment Fire Brings All-Hands Alert


Firefighters and emergency medical technicians responded to an all-hands alert at Seaview Towers Apartments at 333 Beach 32 Street, off Seagirt Boulevard, late Tuesday night. The high-rise fire brought 12 units and 65 firefighters to the 20-story building. The fire, which occurred on the 19th floor, was called in at 11:40 p.m. and was under control by 12:18 a.m. According to an FDNY spokesman it was confined to one apartment and no injuries were reported. No cause has yet been determined and an investigation is ongoing.
