James G. Nolan, a 15-year Rockaway resident, died December 5.

Nolan was born in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, and served in the US Navy from 1954 to 1958.

Nolan is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Scott.

He is survived by his children, James P. Nolan, Colleen Nolan, and Gregory Nolan; brothers, Rev. Jerome Nolan and John Nolan; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Denis S. O'Connor Funeral Home, Rockaway Beach. A funeral mass was held at St. Camillus Church, Rockaway Park. Interment took place at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, New York.
