Local Businesses, Churches Open Hearts At Thanksgiving

Free turkey dinners for local residents were abundant in Far Rockaway the day before Thanksgiving. Some of those who opened their doors to the public were Multiviz Health Services, which served 160 people during three dinner seatings. The Church of the Nazarene provided approximately 400 to 500 meals, in addition to giving out much needed coats collected during the Rockaway Cares coat drive. St. Mary Star of the Sea was host to more than 300 people during its pre-Thanksgiving meal.
