Zadie Lee Watts
Zadie Lee Watts, a longtime Rockaway resident, died November 17.
Watts was born on August 4, 1946 in Orriville, New York and worked as a medical secretary. She moved to Far Rockaway in 1967 and was a member of St. John's Baptist Church. She worked for St. John's Episcopal Hospital for more than 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ciara Henry and brothers, Richard and Jesse.
She is survived by her children, Eugene Perry, Lisa Thomas and Wayne Perry of New York; grandchildren, Yolanda Perry, Monique Morris, Sabla' Stays, Willie "Joey" Thomas, Tashianna Thomas, Antonio Boddy, Aaron Boddy, Lexus Henry and Angel Yarbrough; brothers, Jerry (Roberta) Perry Jr. and Clarence (Rhonada) Perry; sisters, Wilma Perry, Betty Craig, Florida "Mae" (Eddie) Zanders and Brenetta Perry; brothers-in-law, Robert Craig Sr. and Willie Craig Sr.; sister-in-law, Kim Perry; uncles, Clarence Hunter and YZ Hunter of Alabama; godson, Derrick Holcombe; caregiver, Paulette; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral arrangements and memorial service were entrusted to Jeremiah C. Gaffney Friendship Chapel, Inwood, New York. Interment took place at Rockville Cemetery, Lynbrook, New York.
